Brent Williams grew up in the small farming community of Blythe California located on the California-Arizona border of which the Colorado River is the divider. Blythe, known for its world class dove hunting as well as waterfowling at Cibola, is also located in prime desert quail country. Brent's dad, Phil, often took Brent, his older brother and their GSP, Pepper, hunting in both California and Arizona. As a young adult, Brent moved to the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino county where he and his dog were able to walk out into quail cover from their backdoor. These early experiences lit a fire in Brent  that could not be extinguished even in "down" years when birds were scarce and times where family and other commitments rightfully took priority. He has been fortunate enough to hunt just about every upland species found in the west as well as a variety of waterfowl. His love of the desert and southerm Arizona in particular led Brent and Lisa to purchase their place in Elgin. Brent,  is also known as "The Walking Man" due to what friends and family refer to as a "purposeful inability to gauge distance in certain outdoor situations". While not guiding or hunting resides in south east Arizona with his wife , son , three cats and a whole "raft" of bird dogs.
